The FTG Way From Start to Finish

There’s more to buying flooring than meets the eye. At first glance, it’s easy to assume that you simply pick a material, pay for it, and have someone install it. Behind the scenes, there is a dedicated process for doing things right.

Kenny Teich, co-owner of Floors To Go of Lighthouse Point, recently sat down to talk about that system. We call it the FTG Way and we break it down into six parts.

Setting the Stage

The legwork starts before the customer walks through our doors. The showroom is where the process begins. Keeping ours clean, presentable and welcoming is our way of showing homeowners, designers and builders that we’re going to take their job seriously.

Real Discovery, Not a Sales Pitch

“We don’t just throw materials right at you,” Kenny explains. Our team asks questions before recommending anything. We want to know:

  • What are you looking for?
  • What do you want?
  • What actually makes you happy with the finished space?

Our goal is to understand the project before recommending any products so you can make a confident decision.

A Curated Selection, Not an Overwhelming One

After our team finds out what you’re looking for, we help you narrow down your options to a handful of choices. We keep it simple. Rather than showing you everything in the showroom, we choose pieces that are genuinely likely to be right for you.

A Clear, Discussable Estimate

Next, our team puts together an estimate and sends it over. We don’t expect customers to just accept a number. We encourage them to come back with questions. Our team will review every part of the estimate until it makes sense.

Approval Before Anything is Ordered

Here’s where the FTG Way starts to stand out. The details are everything to us. For example, with engineered hardwood, our team will bring in an actual box of the material the customer is considering to approve the lot before committing. Only after your sign-off do we schedule delivery and installation. When you choose Floors To Go for your install, it’s done on time and done properly.

Following Up, Not Just Finishing Up

Many flooring companies only consider a job done after the installer leaves. The FTG Way does a little extra. After installation, our team will follow up with a phone call or on-site visit. We want to give you extra peace of mind following the walkthrough the installer did on their own. This second, independent check ensures nothing gets missed.

Why It Works

These six steps are simple. No matter the size of the project, the FTG Way doesn’t skip any steps or cut corners. Floors To Go of Lighthouse Point has been serving Southeast Florida for twenty years, and we’ve built our reputation on our consistent process.
